Why does Hurricanes.com/Raffle require my location?
Your current location is required to confirm eligibility. The raffle is offered on Lenovo Center property.
I entered the incorrect email and did not print my raffle tickets. How can I get my tickets?
Please go to the Contact Page to contact the Foundation to request your tickets.
What happens if I lose my ticket(s)?
The winning ticket must accompany the claim documentation. If you purchase online, please Contact Us to have your tickets resent.
I can’t purchase a ticket from my current location, what can I do?
Please check to make sure your location services are enabled on your device. Also, check that the automatic settings for your date and time are turned on.
If you are receiving the error message “We're Sorry. An unknown error occurred while attempting to determine your location…”, please follow the below steps.
- Open settings
- privacy & Security
- Location Services
- Scroll down to select your browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.)
- Select “While Using the App”
- Exit out of your apps and try again
What does it do if I check the box to save my information for future purposes?
The information will only save if you are using the same browser as your previous purchase and you have not cleared your cache of cookie settings.
What happens if I did not receive my email with the ticket numbers?
Please check your spam, junk mail, or clutter folders for the email. If you cannot find it, please contact us using the Contact Us tab on Hurricanes.com/Raffle. You will need to provide your name, phone number, and amount of tickets purchased.
How much do raffle tickets cost?
Raffle tickets can be purchased at a variety of price points.
- 1 ticket for $20
- 6 tickets for $100
- 14 tickets for $200
What forms of payment do you accept?
Credit cards are the only acceptable form of payment online.
Where can I buy raffle tickets?
Fans located on Lenovo Center property can purchase tickets online via Hurricanes.com/Raffle or from sellers on the concourse.
When can I buy raffle tickets?
Raffle tickets will be sold during home games in the raffle period. This raffle period will end when the cash prize is selected during the Canes Cash Drop.
How do I find out the winning raffle ticket number?
The winning raffle ticket number will be announced each home game during the beginning of the third period.
Where does the remaining cash jackpot go?
The total amount of the grand prize will be 50% of the value of all raffle tickets sold, capped at $125,000. The remaining jackpot will go towards the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation. For more information about the Foundation, please click here.
Do I need to be present to win?
Yes, winners must be present at the game to win.
Are my winnings taxed?
The Carolina Hurricanes Foundation is responsible for reporting winnings to the IRS, and the winners are responsible for any tax implications.
If I have the winning ticket, how do I claim the prize?
Winners must report immediately to play the Canes Cash Drop game in the 3rd period. Please contact an usher or go to Section 124 on the concourse to meet a Foundation representative.
How long does it take to get my prize (cash or non-cash)?
Cash prizes will be provided to the winner via check within forty-five (45) business days of presenting the winning raffle ticket and filling out the winner release form, including providing two forms of identification.
Is there a limit on the number of raffle tickets I can purchase?
No, there is no limit to the amount of raffle tickets you can purchase during any raffle period.
How long do I have to claim my prize if I have the winning ticket?
Winner must claim their prize immediately (the start of the third period) by going to Section 124 or alerting the nearest usher.
